Free Food Alert!! KFC

If you didn't check out my post about my Zinger chicken sandwich review make sure you do so.

I happen to save my receipt from that purchase like I always do for everything but I didn't notice this free food opportunity until I was looking for my wendy's receipt lol. If you purchase do the survey you can get a free Go Cup as long as you buy a drink. I took my son aka my eating partner with me to get our goodies. I choose to get the KFC snacker Go Cup. It comes with wedges. KFC is slowly winning me back. I wish they had mild tenders like Popeye's but I'm satisfied for now. Make sure you keep the receipt and do the survey......

LEMON OREOS

Oreos are usually not a go to snack for me. More than likely I'm eating them because someone else was eating them and offered me some. Which was the case when I tasted these lemon flavored Oreos. My niece had some with her while over my house spending the night.

The first cookie put me in a such a happy place 😂😂. The lemon flavor was just right in the creme and the cookies themselves. Before I knew it I ate like 10 of them. I had to remind myself that this wasn't my pack. Lucky for me my niece decided to let me have the rest. So if you like lemon flavored food you'll love these oreos.

Chick-Fil-A Sausage Sandwich/ APP

So I tried a new menu item at Chick-Fil-A. I'm always just barely getting there on time for breakfast. I'm a big chick-fil-a mini fan. Their sausage comes on an English muffin with egg and cheese but I ordered a sausage biscuit and my chick-fil-a mini four count. Long story short I will still be chick mini fan lol. The biscuit surprisingly was not as soft as usual and the sausage was to soft for my liking. I prefer more of a firmer sausage. Every once in a while I will have the chicken biscuit which I also enjoy.

If you haven't downloaded the app you seriously need to. Like who doesn't want free food?? I'm really not understanding why it took me so long to do so...well on second thought I do. I had a crappy phone previously and had no room for anything else.

Every time you place an order at the counter you can scan your app before you pay so you can get credit for the purchase. After you fill up the red circle from your purchases you're alerted of three options to choose from for your freebie. If you want faster service place your order on the app, set up payment either through your debit card or gift card. When you're in the restaurant click on the I'm here button then stand under the pick up station to get your food on the go. I love that you can customize your order on the app.

#TBT Bubba Burger

This was supposed to be posted yesterday under my Facebook Food memory of the day series but I didn't get around to it so I'm doing a #ThrowbackThursday instead.

Doesn't that burger look so delicious???? I wish I had the power to grab it out of my phone screen. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a home made burger and then there are days I'm not in the mood to mold one. Bubba Burgers are hands down the best frozen burgers to pick up at the grocery store. Yes the are pricey. You only get six of these bad boys in a box for about $10- $12. I try to catch these on sale. I love these burgers because they don't scrunch up when you cook them. You saw  the picture. That burger is fat.

The only variety I eat. There are many to choose from.

In the picture I have the burger on a soft costanzo roll, (sadly these rolls are only made in buffalo) Sargento cheddar cheese and home made burger sauce. The burger sauce for many years in my parent's household was called the "secret sauce". It's basically home made McDonald's Mac sauce. There are recipes online for dupes. I now make the "secret sauce" proudly.

KFC ZINGER SANDWICH

I had intentions of buying a few KFC snackers  and being on my way. I saw the sign for this new spicy Zinger sandwich and decided to buy the full meal which is $5. I ordered this sandwich with the Monterey cheese and bacon option for an additional .99 cents. 

A few bites into this sandwich had me ready to ask where's the spicy at?  A good sandwich nonetheless but I wasn't tasting any spice until it just suddenly hit my tongue. Wasn't a whole lot but you tasted something. I would describe it as an easy going spicy that you don't have to rush for a drink of water.  It's more like a hint of spicy flavor. Overall I enjoyed the sandwich. It was made correctly. The chicken had the perfect amount of crispness. The chicken on the inside was juicy. All white chicken done right. The bun was soft and the lettuce tasted fresh. My wedges were on point!! 
I could have done without the cookie. It was to soft and tasted doughy. I let my son nibble on it. 

I would buy this sandwich again as a stand alone item. I usually don't purchase meals at fast food restaurants unless I'm in the mood for it.  Thanks KFC for slowly restoring the love I once had for your restaurant. The chicken was actually crispy 👏. 

You can see this spice under the breading. That's when I tasted it 😂

Burger King 🤔🤔

I seriously need to know what happened to Burger King?????

They fell off sooooooooo bad!!!

And yet I'm like the ex girlfriend that just doesn't want to give up. I don't want to give them up forever 😂. I love the taste of a flame broiled burger. 

I stopped in tonight while I was waiting for the bus to go home with my son. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger, small onion ring and a drink off the value menu. I had to return my burger because there was no cheese on it. I like that I was given the option to either have it re made or for a slice of cheese to be put on the current burger. I understand this is a value menu burger but DAMN!! Those burgers were shriveled up and didn't even fill up the bun. The buns are toasted and really dry. Thank God I purchased a drink to wash it down. For the most part, the taste of the onion rings are pretty consistent. The zesty sauce is genius. 

Should I keep torturing myself in hopes of  better quality food??? Even the coupons aren't enticing me anymore. ..... I think I'm ready to say farewell.

National Fried Chicken Day 7-6-17

According to my Facebook memories, I celebrated National Fried Chicken Day last year. Unfortunately I don't know what the meal was so I'm just going to assume my mom fried some chicken for me. I was pregnant and close to my due date so I know for sure that I didnt cook.

Today was a very, very hot and muggy one so I would not be caught over the stove. Plus I'm lazy after work. The call center I work for is inside of an outdoor mall. I was getting ready to pass Buffalo Wild Wings and decided to get some. How convenient that half priced boneless wings Thursday fell on National Fried Chicken Day. I ordered 10 boneless wings with mild sauce. I had one while on the bus ride home. Their mild sauce is definitely my kind of mild. I tasted a small amount of heat but I was able to eat that one wing without the need for a drink. I also liked the fact that I didnt have soggy wings. 

When I got home my mom told me she made mashed potatoes and gravy 😆😆. My soul thanked her. To top it off we already had Hawaiian rolls. Oh yea I can't forget a cold pineapple fanta. What a great day 😍.
