Today's Lunch: Nathan's Famous Franks and French Fries

I had a great lunch today with my mother. The best part is I made it at home. It's nothing like fast food done yourself!! My mother used to tell me about going to Coney Island ( I was born in Brooklyn, raised in Harlem until I was 11 or 12) so we could munch on the Frank's and fries. She's a vegetarian now but she still enjoys the crinkle cut French fries. She tells me Nathan's fries are still the same as she remembers. That really does attest to great quality especially for a frozen food product. I have to admit that it was my mother that put me on to the fries. I was eating the Ore-Ida brand before. Well there's no debate here. Clearly Nathan's Fries are better tasting. You can taste the freshness of the potatoe in each fry. Each time I've fried them they've always come out nice and crispy.
I've been eating Nathan's Frank's consistently since college (08'). I went to college in Rochester NY. I remember getting really excited when I saw them being sold in a supermarket close to my dorm. These franks are the truth with authentic beef. I just read the article by the New York Daily News about Nathan's 100th anniversary. I wish I was there for the five cent franks. I'm sure me and baby Isaiah would have eaten way to many. Happy anniversary Nathan's Famous and I personally wish you 100 more years. Are you a Nathan's Fan?? Let me know in the comment section.
