I purchased the Red Lobster biscuit mix over a month ago at Dollar General. I swear that place always have good stuff. My mom and I love Red Lobster. Of the course the biscuits are always the star of the meal. Finally I took the box down from the shelf yesterday since my mom has been waiting patiently lol. The instructions are very simple. I'm very anal about following recipes to the specific measuring tool. Since I didn't have the measuring cups needed I looked and found an awesome article for measurement conversions http://dish.allrecipes.com/commonly-used-measurements-equivalents/. With the batter I was able to make eight biscuits. The instructions say you can make ten. I didn't have the specific measuring cup so I scoped the batter with a bigger one. I didn't get a picture of them all out of the oven. I was tired from doing laundry, cleaning out my walk in closet, taking care of my son (He was cranky) and cooking ( I also made rice, chilli and cornbread) so I had to sit down and rest. My mom liked them and even my picky sister is officially apart of the Red Lobster biscuit crew. She doesn't like seafood so she doesn't come with my mom and I when we got to Red Lobster. She said and I quote " Omg I can't believe how soft they are on the inside". The only thing I would do better the next time is adding more butter for the garlic herb sauce so it can soak in biscuit more. They were soft but not as soft as they are in the restaurant. I might have over baked just a little bit so I'll also follow the exact oven time. Other than that I love the mix. I can't wait to buy it again. Of course this doesn't take away from the restaurant experience. It's about time for another visit anyway....
