I had intentions of buying a few KFC snackers and being on my way. I saw the sign for this new spicy Zinger sandwich and decided to buy the full meal which is $5. I ordered this sandwich with the Monterey cheese and bacon option for an additional .99 cents.
A few bites into this sandwich had me ready to ask where's the spicy at? A good sandwich nonetheless but I wasn't tasting any spice until it just suddenly hit my tongue. Wasn't a whole lot but you tasted something. I would describe it as an easy going spicy that you don't have to rush for a drink of water. It's more like a hint of spicy flavor. Overall I enjoyed the sandwich. It was made correctly. The chicken had the perfect amount of crispness. The chicken on the inside was juicy. All white chicken done right. The bun was soft and the lettuce tasted fresh. My wedges were on point!!
I could have done without the cookie. It was to soft and tasted doughy. I let my son nibble on it.
I would buy this sandwich again as a stand alone item. I usually don't purchase meals at fast food restaurants unless I'm in the mood for it. Thanks KFC for slowly restoring the love I once had for your restaurant. The chicken was actually crispy 👏.
